Is running really good for weight loss?

Was wondering if running is really good for weight loss.

I've felt that going to gym has helped me better. Running didn't quite work out and results were not satisfying at all.

Oh, and it really doubles my appetite

Running is good to an extent, I've lost about 20-30 lbs running

But I'd still prefer Gym or exercises over running for weight loss. :strong:

If you are running regularly, then you should have little battle in churning out some lbs out of your body. Always remember, weight loss will only occur if you burn more calories than you consume. In short, cut short your fast food and alcohol intake, eat more fruits and vegetables and run to test your limits.

Yeah, but was wondering if it's really worth it.. I'm talking about the rate here, isn't gym more effective than running daily for weight loss?

Re: Is running really good for weight loss?

Running does help in weight loss and building your stamina, but I would suggest interval training for better results. Its quiet simple and easier and you can burn more calories this way.

Start by brisk walking and once your body warms up, you can run for 2 mins, then go back to walking, continue walking for another2-3 min and run for 2min. Keep repeating this process for about 20mins. You can do this on a treadmill as well. If you can do this for about 20mins, you'll burn around 200cal. You can increase the time as you build your stamina.

Results guaranteed.

Running has helped me knock off a few kilograms. It is definitely one way by which you can reduce some weight. And as far as my appetite is concerned, it hasn't changed.
