Lost 21 kgs in 3 months!!!!
I was grossly terribly shabbily overweight till June mid... weighing about 110 kgs (multiply that by 2.2 for pounds), and with a "Indian" frame of 173 cms (5 feet 8 inches)...
My confidence was taking a huge beating, more importantly was my chances of getting a premature heart attack and other lifestyle related diseases....
I am a vegetarian, so I decided to plan my diet accordingly... My mantra was simple, the body needs about 2000 cal every day... The more you deny it, the more it will consume out of itself...
I decided to stretch this mantra as far as I could. My diet plan roughly took place along the following lines
Mornings - 2 idlies (Indian rice cakes) OR a bowl of corn flakes and milk (WITHOUT SUGAR)
Lunch - Plain salads,ie, raw vegetables, cauliflower, carrot, etc...
Supper - 2-3 Chappathies (Roties) and 2-3 small cups of curries...
I am a caffeine addict regrettably, so I used to help myself to 3 cups of coffee a day in between, but using SUGAR FREE... Hence I was able to almost completely eliminate sugar from my diet, which helped me save substantial sums of calories...
Overall my diet plan meant I had an intake of.... hold your breath... from 600 to 800 to maximum 1000 calories a day! I can say I did maintain the intake for about 75% of the last 3 months.. but during holidays and parties I did cross my mental barrier of 1000K but never exceeded 2000... So almost every day, my net calorie intake (Intake - 2000) was NEGATIVE...
Today I stand much confident, not just about the way I look... but also knowing I was able to pull off such a feat due to self motivation and determination... I still am overweight by about 8-9 kgs, and plan to shave that off in the coming few months hopefully...
